Caught in a Thought has been in existence now for a full solid year. It started out a little shaky...not many knew about her, in fact I had to bribe people to visit and comment and contribute by promising them a day of their very own on this site. It went over fairly well, and the first five people were granted their bit of air time.
June 22, 2004- The Pilot Episode. We started with what, in retrospect, seems a fitting theme song. And we have all float on, OK. So it is now June 22, 2005 and what has happened since that time? Let's take a trip:
- We had a semi-non-eventful summer of 2004. Just typical stuff. The Walk With God District Convention, and days in the city
- Next was the visit of Dad and Bubba, coinciding with a visit from the Homans in September (yea didn't make my time that month!) and nights in the city.
- October came and issued in a very very special treat. Annual Meeting. But not just Annual Meeting, but AT the Stanley Theatre...and our dear Brother Dies was interviewed this time around!! I'm still slightly wondering if I was selected to attend by mistake. But one way or another it was the greatest experience in my life!
- The First of the RFT's...(Road-Flying-Trip + Destination). RFTDC04. 10 girls who barely knew each other went to Washington DC.
Following was my first jaunt to for apple-picking. - November was another epic Scavenger Hunt...but again I forgot my camera. So instead feel free to tell your own stories about that.
But we also met our new International Friends and Caught In a Thought Frequenters...Adam and Steve. - December was the start of a new tradition...Vermont Weekend trips. In a cabin with 11 other people near Mt Snow. Oh How lovely!
December was also the inauguration of Napoleon Dynamite into my life-long regiment of classic must-see-must-quote movies.
Somehow the winter is a busy time too. - January was eventful as far as 1st having our CO's visit then our Circuit Assembly right after that-where Jess had a demonstration, my Mom and Dad's 28th Anniversary, and a personal road mark-The Credit Plus Inc's First Annual National Sales Conference (coordinated in part by yours truly)
Oh and Steve (from England also suggests a top 10 list of 2004's events from all. This keeps Caught In A Thought going for a while. - February-Still very much behind on my time, probably close to 45 hours to catch up to by this time- but nevertheless I go on the second of the Vermont Winter Weekend Trips. This time the group is slightly larger, but we make new traditions out of it...still putting puzzles together though.
Jess flies out to London for a quick weekend and makes her way over to Dublin while she's at it. - March is another busy month. We had Gretel and Josh's wedding, and just the day after I flew out to see Mom, Dad, Bubba , Gramma and some of my other relatives in Spokane Washington. Met Chester...my new hairier brother.
- April was fairly uneventful, just everyday stuff...and a few baby showers. Lisa Crowley came to visit for a few days from Ireland. Then at the end of the month, Miss Meghan Merkle came to stay for a whole month! Changed our lives forever! My Chagiya...
- May was busy. First week we had two girls visiting from my parent's congregation. The next week was another friend from Washington, Lori, who stayed a weekend and took us to Cookin'. Seriously awesome show off broadway. Weekend after that Amanda and Emily visited and we had a blast with them in Little Italy (need we talk about the Flirtatious Italian Waitors who gave us two free carafes of wine and a free tiramisu? YES we need to talk about it).
The following weekend was camping up by the Delaware Water Gap. - And now it's back to June, still struggling with service time (is it any wonder with all those weekend trips and what not?) But the best from this month so far, was Sue's graduation weekend in Cape May. 12 girls and good times!
The other tied for best-best time from June was our RBC experience. Yea baby!
So that there is the briefest synopsis I could make of the year. Many things have been altered, many people have changed, but over all things are always looking up! SHare with me your favorite times from Caught In a Thought, or your insights on what to do next...
And we'll all Float On....OK?!?!
