So we've all returned from our vacations. Becca is back from the Dominican Republic. Nola, Candace, Sarah, and Courtney are back from London Town(and Paris). Though I understand that the Parisans were less than sweet to our American representatives. Took Nola's money, scoffed (in a blatant French manner), threw the money back at her, and told her to get out (in an outrageous French accent)
I've returned from Washington. 10 days visiting the folks. The highlights of the trip were:
- Seeing Bubba and his friends busy working the small Chinese territory. Going from one Chinese restaurant to another giving them "Good News". And each day coming back all enthused with many successful stories.
- Chester. The cutest dog in the world. (Sorry Sue but it's just that true)
- Going on Dad's Bible study who, incidentally, is the uncle to Sean Penn. Great study too!
- Eating at Taco Bell with Mom and getting the low down on pretty much everyone in the Spokane area for 2 hours.
- Going to the classical concert with Gramma Sonja. I love Edvard Grieg(who looks a little like Albert Einstein...maybe it was the style back then to look crazy and disheveled). You'd probably recognize Morning Song. But try to imagine it live and playing out slowly from a full orchestra...the most beautiful musical experience I've ever had...it gave me chills actually.
- Tasha and Devon Mayfield's wedding (two people I never met in my life but who I'm related to through marriage...and now related to about 2/3 of the whole Spokane area by)
- Crowding the dance floor so you couldn't move around. The men actually offered to dance and danced by themselves. A stark difference from most dances over here.
- The daily rainy weather. The morning would start off a little rainy, then by the afternoon the clouds spread apart replacing grey with gold sunshine. It was gorgeous. The pictures are coming soon.
- Playing Qunito with Gramma for 3 hours.
- Seeing family, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and Mom, Dad, and Bubbala. Priceless ;)
