Weeeeeeekend Stuff

Back from a weekend in Vermont...this was such a great trip! The only thing was it was over too soon.

We stayed only a few miles away from Mount Snow in West Dover, Vermont. For a short vacation there was a lot that we did....ping pong (Sue the new ping pong enthusiast!), pinochle, Rapid Fire Uno, movies, books, puzzles, hiking, sledding and lots of late night talking (while we were on lock down after all the married couples went to bed). After two days of all this, we got up Sunday morning EARLY, packed up the car and headed for Stowe, Vermont- 2 hours away. On our way we listened to a recorded Public Talk (to which the whole back seat cried) and conducted a Watchtower Study. Talk about spending your time wisely!! Finally we arrived at the Ben & Jerry's Factory, then to the Cabot Cheese Factory and Vermont Teddy Bear shop. Our last destination in Stowe was the Von Trappy Family Lodge which was simply beautiful and I plan on going back there.

Thereafter was our 7+ hour drive back to New York. I don't think a greater contrast could be drawn between the two locations...Vermont with all it's peaceful beauty and New York City with it's hectic and stressful way. You need only see signs for NYC and feel your blood pressure raise. But back to work and back to business.
