Thus ends the 2 and a half week procession of Top Ten for 2005 posts. I am petitioning for billowing yellow T-Shirts for everyone who visits the site(Though yellow wasn't that year's color).Marketing- it's the gunk that binds friends together. Oh well. Onto more important things. First on the list:
Why am I up at 5:45 this morning?
A-I wish to Lourdes I knew. It could've been the chicken chimichanga with extra cheese I should've thought twice about before recklessly jumping ahead to satisfy the grumbling twisted mass in my belly. But more plausible is the fact that our company's big Annual Sales Conference is less than two weeks away. "But why would that stress you out?" you ask politely to feign interest. The short answer is because it's been arranged, in part, by me-the other part, and rather more important part, is done by the man I like to call BOSS...and while you're searching for your Bruce Springstein jokes, no it's not him.
It's like planning a two day wedding (or in this year's case- a whole week of celebration) every single year. Event planning seems easy except there are so many microbic details that can not be decided on by a middle man-and middle man I am. Yes I am a female, but that's beside the point. The middle seems to be my lot in life. I am a middle child and often suffer from middle child syndrome. And at work I am the midmost entity for all liason purposes. As all in my position fully understand, mediating is stressful because that's not where or when the decision is made. (Where are decisions made, Mr. Rogers?...well kids lets take a trip to the Decision Making Factory to find out!!) I amuse myself.
Second item to attend to:
Will you be doing a "Top Ten in 2005", Ms Labrucherie?
A-No
But WHHHHHHHYY?
A-Because honestly I don't have the time to write it up.
But you spent a whole half hour on this super early morning to type a lot of mindless hooey when you could've used that to write your Top Ten??
A- First of all, that wasn't a question but an accusation so knock of the question marks, OK?! And for your F-Y-I... stop whining and leave me alone!! Who's blog is this anyway!?! I'll Do What I Wanna!!
I beg your pardon. So other than the massive amount of sleep I'm losing, here are the things I love the most about this time of day (if this even can be called "Day"- and as if you care): It's quiet. The sky is an ebbing deep blue underscored by an orangish streak at the horizon and black clouds interlinearly keeping the two from meeting. Poetry is made most when I'm sleepy.
Thanks to all you out there- a total of 13 people- who participated in this year's Top Ten Event. Thank you for your encouraging recounts of your theocratic successes and goals, your occasionally unabridged versions of events(I think this applies to the women more or less-once again proving that women like to "talk"), and for establishing that there are at least 13 people who are friends enough to humour me with my requests. I can't tell you what that means to me! So thanks!
Onto other things in 2006. (FYI the sky is no longer dark. It is now a pale blue with wispy clouds hovering over a HOT PINK skyline- talk about a show!)
