A Call for Reader Participation

You all make me so happy when you write me things to put on my blog, not only because you care enough about the blog to contribute, but it also means I don't have to scrounge around for ideas. And I greatly appreciate this!

This morning I was walking to my boss' house and it was kind of the perfect fall weather. It was breezy and the sky was clearing away the grey storm clouds from last night...there were leaves on the trees and leaves on the ground which make Brooklyn streets look so cozy. I walked past a crossing guard and cheerfully said, "Hello" and got a smile and a "Hello" in return. I think it's an unspoken law that you HAVE to say "Hello" to the crossing guard no matter how old you are. Children were passing me on their way to school in fact one little guy seemed to be absorbed in a little day dream of his own because he passed me chanting ,“FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!” and making laser noises.

Continuing on, it was just beautiful this morning and made me do what I normally do when things inspire me...create a running commentary in my mind on what I'm seeing. I feel as if I'm living the scenes from a novel about a girl living in a Brooklyn Neighborhood. Then a thought occurred to me.

Wouldn't it be nice if all my dear friends and readers were to share their running commentary on their day...preferably on a good day? As if you were writing the opening pages of a novel about your own life... a day in the life...or a moment in a day in the life of ______.

And pictures! Pictures are always greatly appreciated as it seems most people are visually stimulated. Yes wouldn’t that be nice…
