NEW FEATURE:
I suppose they've been comin' at you like a 95 MPH curveball headed straight for your bat, but you've dealt very nicely with the additions on Caught In A Thought. The newest feature was inspired by my personal desire to learn Spanish and to assist my friends who are also struggling to find time to learn this language. Therefore there is now a link to the Spanish Word of The Day where we can all become just a little more linguistically educated...if anything it'll help us when we're doing crosswords 76 years from now.

What a weekend! Service time right on track (for the first time in a few years). And lovely weather that you just can't complain about no matter how you spin it!
So sleep deprivation seems to be a thing of universal understanding...no one, of any age, appears to always get the sleep they need because you step out on the street and see lethargic children toting their brand new back packs in the direction of the local school. Poor things. Saturday, after a long day in service I came home and practically walked from the front door to my bed. I stayed there from 6pm -12 am, got up for a few hours cuz I was hungry, went to sleep at 3 and woke up at 10 and still managed to wash dishes, study for the Watchtower(another heart-warming article!), and then haul off to the meeting for field service before the meeting. What a life!
Well all that extra sleep didn't seem to stick with me as I'm feeling particularly sluggish this Monday morning. But the agony of sleep deprivation is overwhelmingly reconciled when you factor in that a large group has a rather important date to keep with one Mr. Jack Johnson.
On the other hand the torment of my sleeplessness really has to do less with it being Monday and more with the fact that I went into my bed at midnight, got a phone call at 1am saying our friend Caroline is going to the hospital to deliver her baby and I volunteered to stay with her little girl until my shift was relieved-at around 3:45am. But there was no sleeping up there because there were stories to read to a nervous little girl who couldn't sleep. Man to be a parent must be such a lovely gift but oh so sleep-sacrificing...self-sacrificing.
I can now say I appreciate every night my parents had to wake up to answer the scared whine of their children at midnight. It really does create a whole new respect and a whole new love in my heart for parents. Because for PETE'S SAKE!!! That's tough to stay up with only 3 hours of sleep!!!
