Yes, indeed the day you feared would arrive is here. A day completely entirely devoted to me. The Divine Miss N. Although you may call me Nola, Nol, Noli, Granola, Cannoli...you get the idea. When dear Nina gave me a day of my own I thought to myself...whatever will I do with it?? Can I fill up a blog?? Do not fret my pets! I can and shall!
I was looking through my older poetry and found one from when I was 15 years old. I could barely contain my laughter. I remember when I wrote it. I thought it was so deep and so reflective of my feelings. Why was no one there to tell me I was 15!? So for your perusal and merriment, may I present "Secret Admirer".
Secret Admirer...
Sitting here watching time fly by,I look for ways to stop it
Here is where I want to be The answer, I can't find it.
Sitting there you stare ahead
Deep in thought, of what I don't know
You smile a bit, and tilt your headMy affection for you continues to grow.
I know a love like mine for you
Can never be returned.
Even if you disappear,On my heart your image is burnt.
To you my love must go unknown,For you would never love,
A secret, silent stranger,Who longs to share your life.
