Solstice

The theory is, that the beautiful, hot, shorts-and-a-T-Shirt weather doesn't last forever so make the most of it and run around like a cock-a-roach until October. That's just what happens in the summer months. Time is bought and sold and bartered...which I suppose is included under the buying and selling constitution. It's rare and coveted but never seems to last you long enough. Nevertheless, it's been well spent.

This past weekend was another marathon but I loved every moment of it. From Friday in service to Friday evening at Tony's Restaurant, Bryant Park, and Grand Central Station (a first for at least one New Yorker in our midst), to Friday night/Saturday morning up till 3 am talking with Court, Lyssa, and Abi. Service in the morning, and Sue's graduation party in the afternoon, and another sleepover that involved absolutely NO sleeping whatsoever, lest your name is Candace, or lest one ignore being taunted with attempts to stir one's curiosity into further conversation.

Sue's party was one of the best graduation parties I've been to in a while. The weather was the best it's been all season, and the setting was sooooo nice! Highlights of the night:
  1. Jeff and Alison's Sonny and Cher interpretation (oh no...I got YOU. Babe)
  2. Dancing the Dabke with the Stavrous and Lewis'
  3. No Mosquito bites (personally)
  4. Actually seeing the stars at night
  5. Dancing with my girls, all night long
  6. Macky singing the Little Mermaid song for Karaoke

Sunday another fun-filled day of...fun. Such a great weekend. Memorable quote from the weekend:

"Do Sunflower seeds grow corn?"-Court

"Jehovah wouldn't have given me maracas if he didn't want me to shake 'em..."- Nola

"You're deep...like a lake."-Everyone thru the course of the night

"I like fat men. Well not fat, but solid. You know...chunky"- Me

Please add your quotes/thoughts on the weekend
