Sliding On The Rainbow Of Childhood Dreams

Christopher Robin and I walked along
Under branches lit up by the moon
Posing our questions to Owl and Eeyore
As our days disappeared all too soon
But Ive wandered much further today than I should
And I cant seem to find my way Back to the Wood

So help me if you can Ive got to get
Back to the House At Pooh Corner by one
Youd be surprised theres so much to be done
Count all the bees in the hive
Chase all the clouds from the sky
Back to the days of Christopher Robin and Pooh

This was one of my favorite childhood songs. But I didn't realize, till recently, that he was talking about childhood. How we wander away from it and the innocence is hard to get back to. But we admire it in the young and encourage them to hold onto it as much as they can. The cliche is not to try to grow up too fast. My thoughts on growing up is that you can retain your happiness and youth and mature at the same time.

Anyway I love this picture of Macky cuz she's FULL of personality at only 3 years old. She's one child I look at and actually feel a little at a loss as far as my own enjoyment of life goes. But Macky makes us laugh hysterically sometimes, who couldn't be happy around her?
