A Felicidade é...

Before we go to today's topic I have to announce the winner of the Algebra Contest. This was an easy one to judge because there was only one player (is that sad or a commentary on the state of my friends' lives). Her name is Patty. Don't know too much about her but that she frequents the site, was bored at work one day, played AND WON the Algebra Contest and now will be receiving the $25 gift certificate. We will be doing this again...so heads up for Omaha Steaks!!

Congratulations Patty! And an Honorable Mention to Courtney for at least attempting the contest :). The winning entry:
SHOE-->HOME [shoe, shot, soot, hoot, holt, holy, homy, home]
POT-->BIG [pot, pit, bit, big]
CHARM-->SHOUT [charm, chare, share, shore, short, shout]
I found chare as a word in dictionary.com, but incase that doesn't count, here's another:
CHARM-->SHOUT [charm, chard, shard, share, shore, short, shout]

What is happiness? According to these people Happiness is....

  • Happiness isn't something you experience; it's something you remember.
    Oscar Levant
  • To be stupid, selfish, and have good health are three requirements for happiness, though if stupidity is lacking, all is lost.
    Gustave Flaubert
  • Happiness makes up in height for what it lacks in length.
    Robert Frost
  • Of all forms of caution, caution in love is perhaps the most fatal to true happiness.
    Bertrand Russell
  • Happiness is not achieved by the conscious pursuit of happiness; it is generally the by-product of other activities.
    Aldous Huxley
  • Happiness: a good bank account, a good cook and a good digestion.
    Jean Jacques Rousseau
  • The only true happiness comes from squandering ourselves for a purpose.
    William Cowper

I say Happiness is a great vacation, a great return visit, a great morning, a great man, and a really great bowl of vanilla fudge almond ice cream.

What's happiness to you?
