CHAPTER 16 "2004 was a year of serious change in my life as was 2003... "}
"It had ups and downs like everything else, but I'd like to say that the good stuff was well worth all the other things that happened. One rather huge bright spot of this year was when I was introduced to the Brooklyn crew. From the district convention to just last weekend at Mattys going away party it's been great kids. Now let's just see if I can work on getting a license and a car so I can come visit more often, especially to see my new partner in crime...
So lets start from the top. i started this year in 10th grade. Not the best year. I took my first AP test in Euro history which I did ok on, and I found out how much I love chemistry (that wasn't sarcasam I really love chemistry). I'm finishing this year in 11th grade with my 2 hardest classes being ap chem and honors physics, which hasn't exactly been the easiest thing esp when ur teacher doesnt teach and u have to learn from a book that u need to learn a diff language to understand. But I'm a Dellaquila, I'll manage.
Summer of 04 was well worth the wait. I managed to go to 4 different district conventions, 2 of which I went to all 3 days. I'd say I got the absolute best you can get out of a DC this year and o man I was all over the review talk answers. Every year since 1999 I went on a seldom worked territory trip and this year I wasn't able to go, which was pretty disappointing to me bc it's one of those things i look foward to every year. A highlight to the summer was scavenger hunt #2 which my team won (GO TEAM HAPPY PANTS!), so we had a winning streak of 2-2. That was, of course, until Erin stole the throne in November at #3. But I'm not worried, we'll get'um back. heh heh.
Other cool stuff that happened: going to Six Flags and riding Nitro 4 times front row, having a tent sleepover in my backyard with a buncha girls (fireworks, manhunt, my moms chicken sautee... the works), going to 2 hockey games in the same week (and yet somehow Mr. Met showed up at the Islanders game and I felt right at home again, yea cailey u know it), and the 8 billion grad parties that made me poor by the end of the summer.
And now, of course, we come to probably what will go down in my life to be one of thee greatest weekends I've ever had... RFTDC 04. Right at the start when courts n me left for DC all the way up to the kung foo fight outside of Burger King, I don't think its even remotely possible I will ever do that much stress-free-no-drama-laughing for the rest of my life. So to those 9 girls that made that weekend one for the books, thanks, and remember, Fistacuffs are for lovers...
So basically 2004 was good, but it's over, and I'm looking foward to this year, 2005... it'll be a dusey, I'm sure of it... "
