One More For The Road

Caught In A Thought will be on hiatus for a week as I won't be around to update her. In the meantime, this is just something to occupy space. Writing has been and always will be something very fun for me and what I write often stems from silly nothings of a thought. With that in mind, proceed...

"Oh how time consumes my thoughts. How it tortures me to be bound by its limits and yet how it bleeds me of my patience. I am aware that the instance will come...I shall close my eyes, then awake in the next moment to realize what I 've longed for is suddenly in front of me. It'll perch itself in view, so that I may stare at it in astonishment, until it flies away. That moment I only sleep to dream of now. How bewitching that it stand in my grasp for too short a time.

The hand will pass by until it has passed by an eternity. But even that shall not exhaust the laughter we share in pleasant company. Nor shall it expire upon our gazes, our kisses, our words unspoken. Generations ahead will admit, in awesome jealousy, that this moment so awaited, was spent in the sweetest of fellowship...with words uttered from the brimming of hearts...and then the air about was still.

Breezes and flickerings of gold and shadow produced the most brilliant ballet set to the harmony between us. No sound, no being, no interupting thought could draw us from what we've sought. What world could support any other creature so long as we remained in that moment?

The ticking has grown louder. Or perhaps it's the beating inside this soul that is keeping time. Oh if only elusive time would match the pace of my pounding heart for it has quickened. You are near."
