With yesterday's insight into her childhood Barbie experiences, I set out on a search and found what the MODERN barbie is all about. Here is a list of just a few new recruits in Barbie-land:
- Divorced Barbie- comes with all of Ken's accessories
- Single Parent Barbie- "welfare check" from Mattel mailed each month
- Quantum Physicist Barbie- yeah right!
- Bow-Wow Barbie- the ugliest Barbie you've ever seen
- Feminist Barbie- unshaved arms and legs
- Bag Lady Barbie- complete with shopping cart; wears everything she owns
- PMS Barbie- complete with Midol and Chocolate
- Nerd Barbie- with pocket protector and taped black glasses
- Insane Barbie- comes with straight jacket and room of white walls
- Bulimorexia Barbie- no different in appearance from the regular Barbie
I bet you all have a few "new Barbies" you'd like to share. And let's not forget her other plastic friends: Skipper and Ken!!
