An Addictive Chemical...

It's Colonel Sanders' Day. He was born on September 9th, 1890 and early in his life his father died leaving him to be the "support system" for his mother. While his mother went to work, little Harland -yes that's his name-Sanders did the cooking for his little brother and sister...
After some time his mother got married again and Harland went to work at a gas station in Corbin, Kentucky. When he was 40 he was still working there and began making meals for weary travelers, serving them in his own living quarters at the station.
Finally he gained so much popularity that he opened a restaurant where he perfected the art of making fried chicken with his secret recipe that still makes us "crave it fortnightly".
Sanders’ cooking had such a following that, in 1935, he was made a Kentucky Colonel for his contributions to Kentucky cuisine.
And as a little treat to all you out there (cuz I know you've been wondering this) there are in fact, featherless chickens. If you want to read about it here is the link. Leave your comments...I'm speechless!! (well not really)
So music for today:
