It's Nola's Day!!! I promised because she was the 1000th visitor to the site!
This is no ordinary honor! It's not like this is just one of the 1000 Journals circling the world today or one of the 1000 Travel Tips for Independent Travelers or perhaps a featured picture on the 1000 Points of Art or for one of the 1000 Friends Of Oregon that works to conserve farm and forest lands, protect natural and scenic resources, and promote livable cities with transportation and housing choices.
This is the 1000th visitor to my site! That means that the Divine Miss N (AKA Natasha) gets special recognition here on Caught in a Thought. So in order to do this properly, I have made her a poem. (This is sort of a way to say thanks for the poems she wrote about all of her friends on Poetry.com)
What superior aspects could you adorn
Than the held complexion of your loyalty
For not a thing has come between
All that your love has graciously born
And how to regard a pair of fresh green eyes
That when touched in tenderness will weep like rain
Eager to search the capacity of hearts
Ne'er for flaws or faults to despise
Nothing is more mysteriously contained
As the strength of character and might of mind
That restrains the storms from scourging those
Who wrick your noble intent and name
Your life, though amply dealt a sorrowful hand
Has allotted mine innumerable joys
For confidants as you, my friend
Are mists upon a desert sand
So now it's your turn to spout your impressions of Nola, your quotes from Nola, etc, etc, etc....
Songs for Nola Day:
