Movie Quote Monday

The flowers of Yorkshire are like the women of Yorkshire. Every stage of their growth is more beautiful than the last. But the last phase is always the most glorious...then very quickly they go to seed. Which makes it ironic.

My favorite flower isn't even indigenous to the British Isles, let alone Yorkshire. I don't think there's anything on this planet that more trumpets life than the sunflower.

For me, that's because of the reason behind its name. Not because it looks like the sun but because it follows the sun. During the course of the day, the head tracks the journey of the sun accross the sky. A satelite dish for sunshine.

Where ever light is, no matter how weak, these flowers will find it.
And that's such an admirable thing. And such a lesson in life.

I wish I could say I wrote that because I think it's so very well stated. And besides who can resist a sunflower? Or sunflower seeds? Those things are fun!
So it's Movie Quote Monday, therefore, what is your favorite (or not so favorite) quote from a movie?

Music for Movie Quote Monday:

Oh and if by now you don't have iTunes on your PC, it is now available for Windows and I love it!
Ok so this isn't a sunflower, but it's a flower none the less and it's cool how it opens , and closes(you need QuickTime for this)
