2. (Now here's a man I can respect) In Milwaukee in 1997, Gary Arthur Medrow, 53, was charged with 24 counts of impersonating a police officer in connection with his unique obsession. What Medrow does, according to police (who have arrested him various times over the last 30 years for the same thing), is telephone a woman and try to convince her to lift another person in the room and carry her or him a short distance, sometimes telling the woman that he's a police officer and that it's an official request.

3. BOWLING :America’s first bowling magazine was published in New York City on this day in 1893. Take a guess as to its title: (a) American Bowler, (b) Pins & Kegglers, (c) Gut Holz, (d) Alley News or (e) Strikes ’N Spares. (give me your answer in the comments)

4. The New York Times reported in November on the project by the Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Township, N.Y., to create more environmentally friendly bullets while still maintaining the bullets' killing power. (Three years ago, the federal government closed a nearby firing range because spent, leaded bullets were contaminating the soil so as to endanger people and animals.) ....I'm thinking stop making guns!!!

5. OFFENSIVE MOOSE STUFF (these are actual laws): In Fairbanks, Alaska it is considered an offense to feed alcoholic beverages to a moose. It is considered an offense to push a live moose out of a moving airplane. And moose may not be viewed from an airplane. (so close your eyes!)

6. WHERE ON EARTH?-Flirtation between men and women on the streets of this main Southern city may result in a 30-day jail term.
