For this I must direct you to the Periodic Table of Funk. No it's not the scientific catergorization of odor, it's the specific classification of soulful, "I HEAR YOU, BROTHER!!! CAN I GET AN AMEN?!?!?" music!
 
Hey speaking of slang (and no we weren't speaking of it I just wanted to change the subject), don't you love how back in the 60's they used phrases like:  DIG IT....IT'S A GAS... etc etc.

For today's musical selection I have what was meant to be "gasoline for the Classical guitar", hence it's often times mistaken name, "Classical Gas"- Mason Williams
